Frog leg Festival - A few historic structures stand
beside old 1910 streets. Fest kicks off with Cajun music, comedy
acts and of course, Frog calling. Lots of entertainment. Weekend
features country, bluegrass and gospel nights. Main attraction all four
days is deep fried frog legs, cole slaw, hush puppies and grits.
Arts and crafts area, spectacular midway, adults and kids rides. Watch

Fest Setting is in
downtown Fort Lauderdale in Bubier Park near the New River
Riverwalk. Heritage and rock bands from Ireland perform. Food
vendors serve favorite Irish "beverages" for toasting anything
and everyone including Irish heroes like John Barry, Father of the U.S.
Navy, Charles Carroll, signer of Declaration of Independence and outlaw,
Billy the Kid (born Henry McCarty). Irish step dancing groups. Thirty bands. Celtic rock night on Friday night. Precision bagpipers. Sunday Mass in Gaelic. Irish market place with many Celtic crafters. Irish & Traditional Cuisine food plazas. Night events. Event is largest Irish festival in Southeast United States. This festival honors South Florida‘s first Bahamian black settlers in the 1800's. Junkanoo groups dance down Grand Avenue (transformed into Nassau's Bay Street) for weekend.
